NAPCO Security Technologies — Copper Sunset Investment Thesis

Equity Research 2026
Recommendation BUY
Price target $57
Implied upside +24%

An equity research initiation on NAPCO Security Technologies (NASDAQ: NSSC) for Research & Investment Securities Emory (RISE), concluding with a BUY rating and a $57 price target — roughly 24% implied upside from the $45.90 share price at the time of the spring 2026 initiation. The thesis centers on AT&T's decommissioning of its copper POTS network by year-end 2029, which forces millions of commercial fire and burglar-alarm accounts onto cellular reporting. NAPCO's StarLink radio is the dominant code-compliant replacement, generating roughly 91% gross-margin recurring service revenue for every unit installed.

Role Analyst on the NAPCO coverage team — authored the StarLink copper-retirement catalyst thesis and contributed to the 5-year DCF and public-comparables valuation behind the $57 target.

Key takeaway

Sell-side models stop at 2027 and miss the full StarLink demand ramp through 2029 — from AT&T-dependent buildings alone, before Verizon and T-Mobile carriers eventually follow. A regulatory-moat product (NFPA 72, UL 864 certified) bolted to a 91%-margin recurring-revenue stream.

Infinite Giving — QCD & Non-Cash Asset Giving Strategy

Consulting 2026
Boomer IRA assets $9T+
Annual QCD volume $10B+
Modeled donor savings +$18.5K

A Project V Solutions Consulting engagement for Infinite Giving, a fintech platform for non-cash and asset-based charitable giving. Analyzed Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) mechanics and 2025 OBBBA tax-code changes to size the Baby Boomer 70½+ giving opportunity — a $9T+ pool of IRA assets, $10B+ flowing through QCDs annually, with roughly 10,000 Boomers becoming QCD-eligible every day. Built donor personas and a cash-vs-stock-vs-QCD tax comparison showing how the right gift structure can save a single retiree $18,500+ in tax.

Role Led the QCD tax analysis — modeled OBBBA tax impacts and QCD mechanics, built the three donor personas and the cash / stock / QCD comparison framework, and sized the Boomer 70½+ market opportunity.

Key takeaway

QCDs and appreciated-stock gifts are complementary, not competing — a platform that facilitates the full spectrum captures the entire opportunity. With IRS Code Y standardizing QCD tracking for the first time and a QCD-to-DAF bill pending, the window to build is now.

Arcade Beauty — Sustainable Packaging Industry Research

Consulting 2025
Client revenue $400M
Survey base · 11 countries 11,136
Rate sustainability "very important" 39%

A Project V Solutions Consulting engagement for Arcade Beauty, a ~$400M-revenue beauty-packaging manufacturer, guiding its growth strategy in eco-friendly packaging across industry, product, and marketing workstreams. The industry research benchmarked consumer packaging priorities and willingness to pay for sustainability across 11 countries, assessing whether ESG investment translates into real sales and brand value.

Role Analyst leading the industry analysis — customer expectations, cross-country packaging-priority benchmarking, willingness-to-pay segmentation by generation and income, and the ESG-to-sales translation assessment.

Key takeaway

Consumers haven't stopped caring about sustainability — they've reprioritized around safety, price, and shelf life. But the segment willing to pay a lot more for sustainable packaging is growing, led by Millennials, Gen Z, and high-income buyers.

CoStar Group & LinkedIn Workforce Intelligence

Case Study 2025
NPV · 5-year $217M
Results lift +63%
National finish 2nd of 70

Analyzed CoStar Group's transition from a traditional hierarchical structure to a skills-based operating model using LinkedIn's workforce intelligence tools. Built financial models projecting $217M NPV over 5 years and demonstrated how skills-based organizations achieve 63% better business results. Presented as team lead at the American University × LinkedIn national case competition — placing 2nd of 70 teams.

Role Team lead — built the DCF valuation and ROI analysis, set the competitive positioning, and designed the skills-based implementation roadmap behind the five-year NPV projection.

Key takeaway

The winning move was reframing a workforce reorganization as a capital-allocation decision — treating employee skills as a measurable asset with an NPV, not an HR cost line. That framing is what carried the pitch to a top-two national finish.

Cox Communications & Charter Communications Merger

Case Study 2025
Deal size $34.5B
Program ROI · Base case +115%
Scenarios modeled 3

Developed a change management and AI implementation strategy for the $34.5B merger between Cox Communications and Charter Communications. Proposed the G.R.A.V.E.S. solution — combining Viva Glint, Power BI, and Copilot — to manage employee communication through the transition, underpinned by a three-scenario financial model whose base case returned 115% on a $30K program investment.

Role Strategy lead — designed the change-agent network, built the three-scenario financial model (worst / base / best), and defined the communication-effectiveness metrics.

Key takeaway

The lever in a $34.5B merger isn't the model — it's whether employees stay engaged through the integration. A change-agent network is cheap insurance against the people risk that quietly sinks most deals.

SimpleDues — Budgeting & Forecasting for Chapter Treasurers

Product & Engineering 2026
Stack Next.js · TypeScript
Codebase ~11K LOC
Status Live · deployed

A full-stack web app I designed and built end-to-end for fraternity and sorority treasurers — the volunteers who have to answer one stressful question every semester: can our chapter actually afford what we're planning? SimpleDues turns a mess of dues spreadsheets into a live forecast. It tracks every member's dues, models collection rates and pledge-class scenarios, and projects the semester's cash flow in real time as obligations and events are added. It is deliberately not accounting software — no ledgers, no receipts — just a planning tool that tells a treasurer, the moment they change a number, whether the budget still balances.

Role Sole designer & developer — architected and built the entire stack (Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, SQLite), the pure-function forecasting engine, client-side spreadsheet roster import, and a bespoke dual-theme “Obsidian Glass” design system, then shipped it to production.

Key takeaway

Chapter treasurers turn over every year, so the books reset constantly. The real win wasn't a richer ledger — it was collapsing “can we afford this?” into a single number that updates as you type, so a 20-year-old volunteer can plan a whole semester in an afternoon.
